Focussing Artistic Identity

Concerto21 offers musicians room for artistic reflection and rethinking, for encounters with others and with themselves. Concerto21 provides the necessary resources to create and concretize, to mirror and reflect, to recognize new paths and to grow.

Community is a top priority at Concerto21: be it in the exchange with impulse-givers and like-minded people during the intensive academy weeks or through the regular exchange in the network that has been cultivated and built up since the beginning. A new dimension is also offered by the Concerto21 Foundation, which opens up this community to sponsors interested in music.

Concerto21 encourages people to find their own artistic identity, to dare to do something and to act in an entrepreneurial way. Risks and side effects are therefore expressly desired.

Academy

The Alfred Toepfer Foundation's Concerto21 Academy is a forum for musicians and festival organizers who want to rethink concerts and work out strategies together with experienced lecturers from the field in order to establish themselves sustainably on the music market.

Foundation

The Concerto21 Foundation, which was founded in 2023, aims to bring together outstanding young classical and jazz talents with committed private supporters and experienced mentors and to support them both financially and conceptually.

Community

Over the past fifteen years, the Concerto21 Academy has established a large network of lecturers and almost two hundred former participants. Today, these include directors of concert halls, festivals and ensembles, agency managers, label managers, graphic designers, psychologists, and many more.
