Her desire for further development and learning encouraged her to go to Stockholm for an exchange year in 2022/23, where she focused on composing for a large ensemble and creating a genre-bending suite inspired by paintings by Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko. Shortly after the premiere of the work in Sweden, she was invited to participate in the residency program “Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead” at the Kennedy Center in the USA and became a member of the Gutenberg Jazz Collective.
Kateryna is currently completing a dual master's degree in jazz composition and jazz singing at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.
At the beginning of 2023, she founded a duo project together with the Luxembourg vibraphonist Arthur Clees. The Kravchenko Clees Duo won the Grand Prix at the international “Jazz Juniors Competition” in Krakow and the “Chamber Music Prize” at the HfMDD Ensemble Competition and was invited to festivals in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Serbia. Her debut album, which was created in collaboration with the Berlin producer and saxophonist Wanja Slavin, will be released in 2025.
